Pheasant Hunting In South Dakota
Welcome To The Heart Of Pheasant Country!
A MESSAGE FROM THE
OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF THIS PHEASANT HUNTING
ADVENTURE: We have owned and operated our
Pheasant hunting business here since 1981 and
with the help of our daughters ours is truly a
family venture.
We strive to make your stay as wonderful as
possible, and we open our home and hearts to you
as a welcome friend. The 2000 acres we have
developed for first-class pheasant hunting will
allow you an experience like no other.
We hope you allow us to host you to some great
hunting, delicious food, camaraderie, and
well-deserved time away. |

About
Your Hosts
In the nearly 30 years of operating this
Pheasant hunting adventure your hosts have
worked hard to offer the best hunting experience
you will ever have.
With over 2000 acres of prime pheasant hunting
land, the farming techniques they have developed
are strictly used to create the best environment
for the birds. With more than 30,000 trees, and
much of the ground covered in switch grass, milo,
corn, cattails, and CRP, it is a pheasant's —and
hunter’s— paradise.
Your host and his experienced crew arrange the
guided tours. The 8-10 dogs kept for your use
mean you will have a great time and a successful
hunt.
With his wife heading the lodge and its staff,
you will be treated to the best home cooking
around and hosted to a warm and inviting stay.
They personally take care of you. They go the
extra mile and hope that you will consider
returning for many years to come! |

Accommodations & Lodging
An 8 Bedroom Bed & Breakfast
Conveniently located along US Highway 18, the
8-bedroom Bed & Breakfast offers comfort and
South Dakota hospitality second to none. You
will be sure to enjoy your stay, whether you
rent one room, or the entire facility for a
larger gathering. Many groups have booked the
entire house for such things as family reunions
and have found this to be a perfect location.
Country Hospitality & Hearty Cooking
With your hosts heading the lodge and cooking
all the home style food, you will be well cared
for.
In the morning, you will wake to the sounds and
smells of Cinnamon French Toast, Caramel Pecan
Rolls, Blue Berry Coffee Cake, Double Smoked
Bacon, Ham & Cheese Omelets, Eggs Benedict,
Almond Pancakes and More! Alice is well-known
for her delicious cooking, and will serve you up
a hearty Country Breakfast to get you off to a
great start.
You are sure to enjoy her pheasant dinners,
perfect prime rib or grilled steaks, fried
chicken, some of the best barbecue ribs you have
ever eaten, pork medallions, or roast beef along
with garlic mashed potatoes, home canned sweet
corn, home made bread or dinner rolls with every
meal. To top if off you will have a choice of
apple pie with homemade vanilla ice cream,
chocolate cream pie, or a variety of other
delicious desserts!
We hear quite often from hunters that they
thought they would lose weight from all the
walking, but instead gain 5 pounds from all the
delicious meals!
We couldn't do it without our staff and they
receive many comments from the guests on how
clean the lodge is and what a friendly staff
that we have! |
The Dining Room
The dining room will accommodate 20 people.
There's always room for more, and more tables
can be set up in the spacious recreation room.
The recreation room is a perfect place for
larger group gatherings!
A Good Night's Rest
Six of the eight bedrooms have a private
bathroom, with two on the second floor sharing
one. With attractive furnishings and a
comfortable bed, you can recharge for another
day of hunting.
Innkeepers Close at Hand
We want you to enjoy the Gray House as if it
were your own, and the innkeepers are close and
available in an adjacent house if you need them,
day or night.
The Lodge - Room for Even More
Our lodge has 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, with a
bar room, dining room, great room, and 3 decks,
to enjoy the fresh air of South Dakota and to
enjoy the beautiful sunsets! |

Hunting Tours
Our hunting land is 7 miles north of Gregory,
right in the heart of pheasant country. There is
a 100 acre lake located on the property, with a
beautiful cabin next to it, which has a large
deck to enjoy the view and watch the pheasants,
deer, ducks and geese. This is where you will be
served your noon meal, with breakfast and dinner
served at the lodge.
Your host is in charge of all the guided tours.
His experienced crew walk the fields with him,
along with 8 to 10 dogs in the field at a time.
They work hard to do their jobs so you will have
a successful hunt.
Our guides provide dogs, but you are welcome to
bring your own!
When you spend time with us on a guided hunt or
fishing trip, family owned and operated services
are utilized. That way you are treated like
family. Your host and his staff personally take
care of you.
They know you will leave a happy customer and
return the following year. |
