Trophy Whitetail Deer & Eastern Wild Turkey

Fair chase trophy whitetail deer and eastern wild turkey hunts on 1800 acres of prime habitat in the rolling hill country of north central Missouri. We offer archery, rifle, and muzzle loader hunts for trophy whitetail deer, and shotgun and archery hunts for wild turkey. We carefully manage both of our farms to insure good populations of whitetail deer and wild turkey and to provide our clients with a safe, memorable, and successful trophy hunting experience.

Book your chance to take a trophy whitetail deer in the heart of Missouri.

What constitutes a trophy deer (photo above center) is in the eye of the beholder. This tall eight point whitetail buck would please 'most any bow hunter, while the 16 point giant in the background is a trophy class whitetail in anyone's book. Henry Morris of Southern Outdoor Experience videos Roger See's massive seven point whitetail trophy shot on our Boonslick farm during the Missouri 2007 rifle season. This fine whitetail deer was unofficially scored at 159.

     Deer Hunting

Hunters may take any legal, antlered deer. In Missouri this is a deer with at least four points on one side.

We do encourage hunters to take bucks that will raw score at least 125 using the Boone and Crocket scoring
system for the following reasons:
     1. We have plenty of bucks on our two farms that are 125 or larger.
     2. A 125 or larger makes a good mount and a trophy any hunter can be proud of.
     3. Leaving bucks smaller than 125 means that there will be more 125+ trophy bucks available next year.
Scoring a buck's antlers "on the hoof" takes practice so we do not fine hunters who take a buck that does not
score at least 125. We do however, require each of our hunters to watch a short video on scoring deer in the field
so he or she can make an informed decision about which buck to take.

Mature does may be taken with permission. (see below*)
