The new owners of these facilities and your hosts say the following about this great fishing expedition: As new owners of The facilities and still the only outfitters on the Blackwater River, we will carry on the tradition as the only float trip outfitter and will continue to provide guests with an unmatched degree of privacy and solitude.

 

The Blackwater River is home to an abundant population of wild native Rainbow Trout, averaging 14 inches, with the largest just over 20 inches. They attack dry flies readily and anglers are rarely tempted to fish by any other method. There are also many lakes and streams in the area that provide excellent flyfishing for Rainbow Trout up to 6lbs and Bull Trout up to 12Ibs.
We are pretty convinced that there is no flyfishing experience quite like the Blackwater River anywhere!
Our new lodge facilities are currently under construction at beautiful Marmot Lake, 100kms west of Quesnel, BC in the heart of Blackwater country. There is excellent stillwater flyfishing at Marmot Lake with Rainbows to 6lbs and fine stream fishing available in the Nazko River which runs through the property. All of our trips embark from Marmot Lake.

When you arrive in Quesnel, transportation will be provided to existing facilities at Marmot Lake, with '' Rainbows to 6 pounds and the Nazko River at our back door.


We provide a complete outfit of boating and camping equipment, hot showers and fine meals with wine at dinner.
All that you need to bring is your clothing, personal articles and fishing gear. Don't forget that towel for the shower and a water bottle for the boat. We also provide sleeping bags and the very best mattresses for overnight trips. There is no limitation on personal baggage!
